About

Spring Street Center

The Spring Street Center is a former farm house, Lutheran Church, center for the Hearing Impaired and is currently the home of Subud Greater Seattle, a spiritual community.

The years of service and worship have created an energy that is vibrant and palpable and adds a special touch to occasions such as weddings, parties, celebrations, lectures, workshops, yoga intensives, memorials and other events.

We see this center as an extension of our community service work and, as such, keep our prices low and work with all groups to help them meet their budget limitations.

Tours of the facility are possible at almost any prearranged time.

We feel Spring Street Center is a great, undiscovered venue, but we’re not sure how long that will last!

Spring Street Center History:

Built in 1901, Spring Street Center is a turn- of –the-century home that was bought by the Lutheran Church in the 1930’s. The chapel was added at that time.

A mission for the deaf community until 1974, it was purchased by Subud Pacific Northwest and has been used for non-profit interfaith and group events.

Through 2000 – 2009, the building was refurbished using sustainable building practices. The newly named Spring Street Center is a community event center open to everyone at reasonable rates.
